- I am a traditional and medical herbalist. Having taken much of my training in Europe (Ireland) I recieved a gret deal of training in the allied fields such as anatomy, pathology, basic surgery, botany, biochemistry, pharmacobotany, pharmacology, etc, as part of my training.
I grow a good number of the herbs used in my practice and prefer to rely on fluixetracts and tinctures that I produce myself or are made according to the standards I was trained in rather than what is the fad in 'alternative medicine' this month.
Additionally I am an "elder" of one of the traditional belief systems of my people (aka The Old Ways / Celtic Wtchcraft Tradition) which I find is the foundation for much of the herbal healing practice as well as provides a wholistic approach in looking at the energetic and spiritual aspects of disease and illness I encounter.
